Ciao is a system which aims to provide a new unconventional, concrete and empathetic way to welcome and integrate refugees in the new hosting country society, educating them on their rights as human beings, on their current situation giving them helpful contacts to empower them on restarting this new phase of their lives.
The product side of this system is focused on welcoming every refugee in a warm way after their difficult journey in the form of a blanket which has two sides: one made of waterproof cotton and soft fleece, the other with an isothermic translucent medical sheet. Thanks to a simple folding system and a wooden buckle, the blanket turns itself into a useful bag for the refugee, showing up its label where a QR code is printed.
The QR code lets you reach the service side of Ciao: a web platform in which every refugee is able to go through 10 summarized articles based on the UN declaration of human rights, linked to a complete list of useful contacts close to their location.
